Art Herstory’s newest retail partner is the shop at The Hyde Collection! The store carries Art Herstory holiday cards—Christmas Roses and Poinsettia and Calla Lily—and also two custom-created, still-life themed Art Herstory note card sampler six-packs.

These note card sets, specially designed by Hyde Collection staff, showcase still life paintings by women artists who were famous in their time, but who have been overlooked in the centuries since. The two six-packs, exclusive to The Hyde Collection, each focus on a particular subset of still life:

Floral Still Lifes contains six portrait mode cards, each of which reproduces a botanical study or painted bouquet. This set features an artwork apiece by Anne Vallayer-Coster, Clara Peeters, Rachel Ruysch, Anna Ruysch, Alida Withoos, and Barbara Regina Dietzsch.

Food Still Life features five landscape mode cards and one portrait mode card, all of which portray vegetables, fruits, bread and/or cheeses. The artists represented are Maria Sibylla Merian, Anne Vallayer-Coster, Clara Peeters, Louise Moillon, Giovanna Garzoni, and Orsola Maddalena Caccia.

The front cover of each card reproduces the painting. The inside is blank, for handwritten notes. Each card back presents a thumbnail of the work, and lists its the title, date of creation, and dimensions, as well as the name of the institution that holds the original.

Each set also includes six green-gold envelopes, and six Art Herstory seals. The cards relate to an important exhibition that opened recently at The Hyde: A Feast of Fruit and Flowers: Women Still Life Painters of the Seventeenth Century and Beyond. The show runs in Glens Falls until March 8, 2026.

It is a privilege for Art Herstory to partner with The Hyde Collection’s artfully curated museum shop. Visit in person if you have the chance!
